After leaving Islam, when I read the Quran, Hadith, Seerah, and history with an impartial perspective, one thing became crystal clear — in this ideology, hatred and violence against kafirs (non-Muslims) are given the status of a religious duty. Today, when the court has convicted Tahir Hussain in the case of the brutal murder of IB officer Ankit Sharma during the 2020 Delhi anti-Hindu riots, the same old Islamic mindset has resurfaced before me — denying the crime even after committing it, pretending to be the victim, and using the talisman of “Allah knows best.”

The Chand Bagh Incident: The Islamic Jihadist Pattern

On 25 February 2020, during the riots that erupted under the guise of protests against CAA-NRC, Ankit Sharma was targeted by a mob operating from the rooftop of Tahir Hussain’s house. He was dragged inside the house, stabbed 51 times with knives, and his body was dumped in a drain. This was not random violence. OpIndia’s ground report shows that the rooftop was stocked with petrol bombs, slingshots, and stones — exactly like the stockpiles used in Islamic history for attacks on kafirs.

But the most dangerous thing is the attitude of the Muslims in the area even after the court’s verdict. “Tahir is innocent,” “He has been framed,” “The mob did it” — this is a classic example of *taqiyya*. In Islam, lying is considered permissible when Muslims are under pressure. The unity of the Ummah (Muslim community) is placed above kafir justice. This is why the hafiz, the watchman, the nephew, and the neighbors are all singing the same tune.

Criticism of Islamic Ideology

Many verses of the Quran (such as Surah 9:5, 9:29, Surah 8:39) declare fighting against non-Muslims as a religious obligation. In the Hadiths, Prophet Muhammad’s wars are held up as ideal. Until Muslim society openly rejects these teachings, “peace” will remain only a facade.

The Delhi riots are living proof of this. CAA-NRC was portrayed as an “attack on Islam” to incite violence, just as jihad has historically been given the name of “defense.” The result? More than 53 deaths. Yet the community continues to cling to the narrative of “We are the victims.” People like Tahir Hussain, inspired by this ideology, spread violence, and the entire neighborhood protects them by calling them “Allah’s man.”

After escaping this web myself, I realized — Islam is not just a personal faith, but a complete religio-political system that teaches Muslim superiority. Non-Muslims are given the status of dhimmi (to be subjugated) or the choice of death/conversion. This very mindset was at work behind Ankit Sharma’s murder in Chand Bagh.

The Clear Message from an Ex-Muslim

– Abandon the culture of denial: I appeal to Muslim society to stop protecting criminals. Accept the truth that the problem lies in the roots of Islamic teachings.

– Criticism is essential: There must be open debate on the violent verses of the Quran and Hadith. Peace is impossible without reform.

– Warning for India: In a Hindu-majority country, any politics or mosque-madrasa culture that promotes Islamic separatism and jihadi mentality is dangerous.

Ankit Sharma’s martyrdom reminds us that fighting Islamic extremism is the duty of every justice-loving and humanist citizen. Justice has been served, but the roots remain.
