Why Didn’t Iblis Know About Muhammad’s Prophethood or People Converting to Islam for Many Years?

Why Didn’t Iblis Know About Muhammad’s Prophethood or People Converting to Islam for Many Years?

There were contradictions in the revelations. The reason is that the revelation did not come from an all-knowing, wise Allah in the heavens, but Muhammad himself would fabricate things and label them as revelation.

Since Muhammad was human, humans make mistakes. Thus, due to these human errors, contradictions appeared in many places in the Quran.

One such contradiction arose when, on one hand, Muhammad claimed in the Quran that only Allah has knowledge of the unseen future (Surah Al-Jinn 72:26-27), while on the other hand, in the same Quran (Surah Taha 20:49-50), while narrating Moses’ story, he made a contradictory claim that soothsayers had given Pharaoh knowledge of the future—telling him a child would be born among the Israelites who would overthrow his throne.

To resolve this Quranic contradiction, Muhammad later invented another story:

  • Soothsayers got future knowledge because jinn (minor devils) would climb on each other’s shoulders to reach the sky.
  • There, these jinn (devils) would eavesdrop on angels’ conversations and pass them to soothsayers.
  • But now, after Muhammad’s prophethood, this has stopped—if any devil tries to listen, angels hurl shooting stars (flames) at them.

The idea of jinn climbing on each other’s shoulders like a ladder to reach the sky is bizarre in itself.

Sahih Bukhari 4800 Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Prophet said: “When Allah decrees an order in heaven, angels flutter wings in submission… Then stealthy listeners (devils) hear it—one over the other [standing on shoulders, forming a ladder].” Sufyan demonstrated by holding his hand upright and separating fingers. A listener hears a word, passes it down until it reaches the wizard, who adds a hundred lies. People say: “Didn’t he predict this on that date?” So the wizard is believed because of the one true word overheard from heaven.

This explanation is unbelievable—the notion of jinn stacking up to the sky sounds like ancient myth, not logic or science.

Iblis and All Devils Unaware of Muhammad’s Prophethood and Conversions for Years

As Muhammad kept narrating Islamic stories, contradictions grew, raising more questions.

For example:

  • Muhammad claimed every human has a devil (jinn) constantly misleading them.
  • Yet he told a story where devils—and even their leader Iblis—remained unaware of Muhammad’s prophethood for a long time.
  • Not just prophethood—Iblis and devils were unaware of people converting to Islam too.

If every person has a devil misleading them constantly, how did Iblis and jinn remain ignorant of such a massive event (prophethood)? Especially when their main job is to obstruct the final prophet and message. Does this mean no devils were in Mecca during the early years—and the Quraysh’s fierce opposition (boycott, violence, rejection) happened without satanic instigation?

See the narrations:

First narration (a devil with every human): Sahih Muslim 2815 Aisha reported: Allah’s Messenger said: “Your devil came to you.” She asked: “Is there a devil with me?” He said: “Yes.” She: “With everyone?” He: “Yes.”

Second narration (devils unaware of prophethood for years): Sahih Muslim 449 Ibn Abbas: The Prophet went toward Ukaz market. Obstructions (flames) appeared between satans and heavenly news. Satans returned to their people: “Something big happened.” They searched east and west. Some reached Tihama where the Prophet was praying Fajr. Hearing Quran, they said: “This caused the obstruction.” Returned saying: “We heard a wondrous Quran guiding to the right path—so we believed and will never associate partners with our Lord.”

Third narration (Iblis himself unaware): Sunan Tirmidhi 3324 (Sahih Darussalam) Ibn Abbas: Jinn ascended heavens to eavesdrop. Heard a word, added nine lies. With Muhammad’s advent, they were blocked. Mentioned to Iblis—stars weren’t shot before. Iblis: “Something happened on earth.” Sent armies—they found the Prophet praying between two mountains (Makkah). Iblis: “This is the event.”

This Story Is Unbelievable Because:

  • For years, no minor devil in Mecca—none knew about prophethood or conversions.
  • If devils were unaware, how did Meccan pagans oppose Muhammad?
  • Were idolaters sin-free because no devil misled them?

No rational person can believe this.

To hide one lie, hundreds more lies are needed—but the lie still shows.

Results Prove:

No Allah in the sky—Muhammad created the religion himself. As a human, mythical stories inevitably had human errors.

Note: Bible has no “jinn” concept—Muhammad took it from pre-Islamic Arab pagan culture.

Jinn have pre-Islamic pagan roots—not in Bible. Bible has fallen angels/demons, different from jinn:

  • Jinn: Created from smokeless fire (no biblical parallel).
  • Jinn: Marry, have families, convert to religions.
  • Demons: No families, no conversion/redemption.
  • Jinn: Can serve humans (build palaces, etc.)—pagan folklore influence.

Muhammad adapted pre-Islamic Arabian beliefs into Islam.
