Muhammad’s Ridiculous Order: For the Evil Eye, Use Water Washed from Private Parts!

Muhammad’s Ridiculous Order: For the Evil Eye, Use Water Washed from Private Parts!

After digging deep into the most authentic Islamic sources, we found a superstitious instruction that completely buries Islam’s claims of “monotheism”, “knowledge” and “the final perfect religion”.

Like the rest of the ignorant Arab society of his time, Muhammad was deeply afflicted with superstitions: Satan (actually many little satans/jinn), black magic, ghosts, the evil eye, etc. There was no Allah in the sky to cure him of this disease.

The evil eye is a special case. Why? Because Muhammad believed that – unlike black magic (which only evil people do) – a pious Muslim can cast the evil eye without any bad intention.

Mishkat al-Masabih, Hadith 4562 (Sahih – Albani): Amir ibn Rabi‘a saw Sahl ibn Hunaif bathing and said: “By Allah, I have never seen skin like this today – not even that of a virgin girl kept behind the curtain.” As soon as he said this, Sahl collapsed on the ground (the evil eye struck). People ran to the Messenger of Allah and said: “Do something for Sahl ibn Hunaif! By Allah, he cannot even lift his head.” The Prophet asked: “Do you suspect anyone?” They replied: “Amir ibn Rabi‘a.” The Prophet summoned Amir and scolded him angrily: “Why does one of you kill his brother? When you praise someone, also bathe for him!” Then he ordered: “Amir washed his face, hands, elbows, knees, toes, and the inside of his lower garment (i.e. his private parts and anus) for Sahl’s sake, collected the water in a vessel and poured it over Sahl. Sahl recovered instantly and walked away with the people, completely cured.”

In other words, the cure for the evil eye was: Wash the private parts and anus, collect that water, and pour it over the victim!

How Disgusting Is This Superstition?

  • Belief in the evil eye itself is ignorant.
  • But prescribing water from private parts and anus takes superstition to an extreme.
  • The most astonishing part: according to Muhammad, even a good person can unintentionally cast the evil eye.

Qadi Iyad and Imam Nawawi wrote: “If any Muslim becomes famous for giving the evil eye, the ruler must restrict him – he should not leave his house. If he needs food, the state should provide money from the treasury so he does not have to meet people.”

Even Modern Educated Muslims Are Ashamed

Today’s educated Muslims do not believe in the evil eye or black magic. Yet the evil eye is repeatedly affirmed in Sahih Bukhari and Sahih Muslim. If Allah truly existed, He would have given a clean, rational instruction from day one – not this filthy method and then changed it later.

Apologist Excuse – and Its Refutation

Excuse: Later, Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas (the Mu‘awwidhatayn) were revealed and all previous methods were abrogated. Jami‘ at-Tirmidhi 2058 (graded Weak by Darussalam).

Answer:

  1. Islamic scholars themselves call it weak – how can it be evidence?
  2. Even if we accept it as authentic – for the first 20+ years Muhammad ordered people to use water from private parts. That command came from “Allah”!
  3. The biggest Salafi site IslamQA says the Mu‘awwidhatayn were revealed in Mecca, while the incident of Sahl ibn Hunaif and the protection of Hasan/Husayn (Sahih Bukhari 3371) happened in Medina – long after.
  4. The Companions never knew about any “abrogation”. Even after the Prophet’s death they continued using his hair-water (Sahih Bukhari 5896).

Conclusion

The command to wash private parts and anus and pour that water to cure the evil eye (Mishkat 4562 – Sahih) proves:

  • There was no Allah in the sky.
  • Muhammad was drowning in pre-Islamic Arab superstitions.
  • “Revelation” was simply his own ideas – first wrong, then corrected later.

This is not divine knowledge. This is the superstitious “medicine” of an ignorant man.
