Muhammad Caught SNORING During Revelation (Instead of Shivering)

Those who claim contact with gods, spirits, or the supernatural world use fear and dread as their most powerful weapon to control followers.

Let’s examine Muhammad’s methods with reason.

Muhammad claimed that during revelation, terrifying bells would ring—causing even heavenly beings to faint. Muhammad himself would tremble, sweat profusely, shiver from cold, etc.

Sahih Bukhari 2 Aisha narrated: Al-Harith bin Hisham asked: “O Allah’s Messenger! How does Divine Inspiration come to you?” He replied: “Sometimes like the ringing of a bell—this is the hardest form. Then it passes after I grasp what was inspired. Sometimes the angel comes as a man and speaks, and I understand.”

Aisha added: “I saw the Prophet inspired on a very cold day—sweat dropped from his forehead.”

Sahih Muslim 2114 Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger said: “The bell is Satan’s musical instrument.”

Sunan Abu Dawood 4738 Abdullah bin Mas’ud: The Messenger said: “When Allah speaks revelation, heaven’s inhabitants hear a clanging like a chain dragged on rock—they faint. They remain so until Gabriel comes. Then they recover and ask: ‘What did your Lord say?’ He says: ‘The truth.’ They repeat: ‘The truth.’”

Dear readers, think about these questions:

  • The bell is Satan’s instrument. Why does Allah insist on ringing Satan’s instrument during revelation? Can’t Allah send revelation without it?
  • It was extremely hard for the Messenger—and terrifying for heaven’s inhabitants. Why did Allah keep sending revelation this way throughout the Prophet’s life, causing such hardship? Couldn’t Allah choose an easier method?
  • Heaven’s beings have already seen death, angels, and fear Allah. Why give them extra fear when their actions no longer earn reward or punishment?

Revelation Caused SHIVERING—or SNORING?

Deceivers claiming jinn possession, black magic, or spirit contact are often great actors—they shiver, tremble, or deepen their voice to convince people. Since jinn/spirits are “unseen,” no one can disprove them.

That’s why Muhammad claimed revelation was terrifying—shivering, sweating, etc.

But a direct eyewitness caught Muhammad sleeping and snoring during revelation:

Sahih Bukhari (Book of Umra) Safwan ibn Ya’la from his father: A man came to the Prophet at Ji’rana wearing a cloak with perfume traces, asking about Umra. Revelation descended—the Prophet was covered with a cloth. I wished to see him during revelation. Umar said: “Would you like to see the Prophet while revelation comes?” I said: “Yes.” He lifted the cloth corner—I saw him snoring (like a young camel’s snore). When revelation ended, he asked: “Where is the Umra questioner? Remove the cloak, wash the perfume, and do in Umra what you do in Hajj.”

Conclusion

  • The “revelation drama”: bells, shivering, sweat—to instill fear so people believe.
  • But the witness caught him snoring.
  • Meaning: he was asleep—not revelation, but perhaps a dream or fabrication.

This was not Allah’s revelation—an ordinary human’s drama to make people fear and believe.
